Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Forward Deployed Engineers sit at the intersection of customers, product and engineering.

You will work directly with customer teams, understand how their business and systems actually work, turn ambiguous requirements into clear technical decisions, and build production software alongside the rest of the CognitiveClouds engineering team.

This is not traditional implementation consulting. You will write code, make architectural decisions, prototype quickly, integrate systems and help turn successful customer solutions into reusable product capabilities.

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery with customers and understand their workflows, systems, data and constraints.
• Turn loosely defined business problems into working software.
• Build across frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, data and AI when the problem requires it.
• Prototype quickly, validate assumptions and take successful solutions into production.
• Integrate with customer platforms, APIs, data sources and enterprise systems.
• Diagnose difficult technical issues across unfamiliar systems and codebases.
• Work closely with Product and Design to improve the underlying product based on what you learn in the field.
• Create reusable components, implementation patterns and tooling instead of repeatedly solving the same problem.
• Communicate clearly with engineers, product leaders and senior customer stakeholders.
• Own the outcome from discovery through deployment.

Experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, APIs, cloud platforms, databases and AI/LLM systems is useful, but strong engineering fundamentals matter more than matching a checklist.
