Rebuilt Sony Liv as a PWA — 2-second initial load, offline support, serving 100M+ viewers.
Case study
Sony LIV needed to replace its existing website for video-on-demand and live streaming with a redesigned, offline-capable platform. We built a Progressive Web Application with dramatically reduced page-load times, offline functionality, and a series of new features. Built with Angular 5 and lazy loading, Sony LIV shipped with an initial page-load time around two seconds and bundle files compressed and stripped as aggressively as possible. After launching the PWA, Sony LIV saw a 3X increase in monthly active users.

How we'd build this today
Technical
Codebase/API understanding shortens the reverse-engineering of undocumented endpoints from weeks to a structured map before rebuild.
Business
A late scope/design change gets absorbed as a re-plan with clear impact, not a scramble against a fixed deadline.
This project predates Cortex — this is how we'd approach the same problem with it today.
